Nafpaktos

annjsaundry

Nafpaktos is a charming medieval harbour which lies under the shadow of a Venetian castle.

Inside the harbour, there is very little room for yachts to moor so we decided to anchor just outside the castellated walls where there is very good holding.

This meant a dinghy ride into the town to do a bit of exploring which was quick and straightforward with places to tie up on the left of the harbour entrance.

Apparently, the medieval harbour is one of the best examples of its type in the Mediterranean and is certainly very picturesque.

Friendly cafes and restaurants surround the harbour and we enjoyed a leisurely breakfast before returning to the boat for our next passage 13nm east to Trizonia.
